Dharmapura Iron Ore Mine ML.NO-2543 (10.31Ha) (VNK MENON Mine), is in Ramanamalai Range in Sandur Taluk. Mining operations for this mine started inthe year2007.The properitor of the mine, Mr.VNK MENON (Vazhayil Narayanan Kutty Menon) has been in the mining business for more than 40years.VNK MENON mine practices systematic, scientific and eco-friendly mining operations. Extensive exploration by conventional core drilling has been conducted in order to practice scientific mining.The VNK MENON MINE has been placed under ‘‘CategoryA’’ by Central Empowered Committee (CEC) Appointed by Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.

Mining lease was granted in the year 2007, in Ramanamalai block of Sandur Schist belt. The production limit is 0.1Milliontonnes.
